Have the time of your life at the KeyBank Pops Series opener as the South Bend Symphony Orchestra pays tribute to the music of ABBA Friday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. at the Morris Performing Arts Center.

The South Bend Symphony Orchestra will be accompanied by Jeans 'N Classics, the producers of last year's successful “Music of Queen,” for this upbeat, disco-inspired concert. Many of ABBA's most popular works, including Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia, a song which inspired a classic Broadway musical bearing the same name, will be performed.

Music Director Tsung Yeh will kick off his farewell season with the Masterworks Series performance of Symphonie Fantastique on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. at the Morris Performing Arts Center.

The concert will open with a piece commissioned by the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and written by former Orchestra tuba player Jerry Lackey. Titled Celebration 150, the piece celebrates the city’s 150th anniversary, which makes this performance an official SB150 event.
